  My experiment/experience this year is to shop local for as much as can for my Christmas! I'm trying to avoid putting a number or a percentage that I am willing/able to spend locally, just because I would like to see how close I can come on my own. As of November 17, 2016, my first stop was a potential over-the-phone order to Ambiente inquiring whether or not they had restocked a particular candle/scent that I'd fancied. Without hesitation, she checked immediately, and pleasantly/appropriately assured me that if that particular scent was no longer available, there were many other scents I may like. Although difficult to describe over the phone, she named several that I would have never considered including cinnamon and tobacco. Who knew? Made we wonder. We had a chuckle and ended a very pleasant, informative greeting that has resulted in this local gal shopping local. Thanks Ambiente, and the knowledgeable courteous staff that I sadly didn't get her name. You'll know her when you speak to her. BTW - any ideas for a sixteen year old girls Christmas PJ's, and where you find them in Ladner/Tsawwassen? A challenge when you're trying to support a another "rockstar" local business with a PJ drive (The Urban Rack in Ladner) and at the same time trying to support local by buying gifts locally. Options are limited for that age group I believe. Anyway. Merry Christmas everyone and come and "ooo and aww" on December 8 at Ambiente/Coastal Olive Oils Christmas celebration.
